IN A NUTSHELL
SOFTWARE ENGINEER & DIGITAL PROBLEM SOLVER IN MONTREAL
The name's pronounced "Stan" by the way, in case you were wondering. Hello! I'm a Montreal based developer with a love for data and finding solutions to your digital problems.
I immigrated to Canada in 2009 and became a permanent resident since. Resettling across an ocean has been an amazing experience.
Starting out as a client facing UI/UX designer for corporate applications, I got to work with clients such as Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda. It was then my passion for code was awakened.
The last few years I've spent developing for desktop applications used by Canadian Police and Youth Protection services, giving me the opportunity to see the Canadian North in all its wild beauty.

Over the last 10 years, I've worked with numerous software, operating systems, programming languages and other technologies.
My greatest strength has always been my insatiable curiosity. It has allowed me to self-learn technologies with ease, quickly understand business processes, or solve problems before they are problems. My interest in the natural world, the human condition and the universe are logical side-effects. I try to learn something new every day.

Owner / Software Engineer
OddKeep Software Inc. // 2014 - today
Police Automated Management Systems Inc. // 2012 - today
Here I wore many hats. I designed User Interfaces and wrote back-end code. I maintained legacy code and wrote new features. I've taken charge of projects and I've followed. I've fulfilled an off-hours support role, had client meetings and traveled on-site to provide training to end users.
I've worked on applications used by Canadian First Nations Police and Youth Protection Services. I'm particularly proud about my contributions to a system that enables inter-connectivity between Canadian northern communities where internet connections are not always guaranteed.
User Experience Designer / Liaison Officer
ZOOP Mobility Network Inc. // 2009 - 2012
Starting out as a UI/UX Designer for applications used by various automotive brands, I ended up as a Liaison Officer assigned to D'ieteren Group, a company which imports and distributes the vehicles of Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Škoda, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Porsche across Belgium.
My role was to be the single point of contact for clients, to understand their needs and translate them into their application with the development team.
